We've really had some pretty noticeable rocking back and forth today. We were in a large meeting room with two sets of curtains behind the speaker. I noticed that the curtains moved in a slow dance back a forth about a foot or so. I also had trouble sitting up straight in my chair. I also noticed lots of folks are wearing the sea-sickness patch. We're both wearing "sea bands" which apply pressure to points an inch above our wrists. We've not had any trouble. I guess there's something to that acupuncture thing. The day has been warm and beautiful and the ocean looks so serene. So why all that rocking back and forth?
We also both got some time in the small gym today. It will get crowded once the students are on board, but there is time set aside for faculty, staff, and spouses.
More meetings today. This morning was dedicated to academic matters. We learned about the how the University of Virginia honor system works here on the ship and we got our class rolls. For some reason, 28 of the 30 or so students in my upper level theology class are from the University of San Diego. I sure students from California are enough like one's from Virginia that I have some clue how to teach them! I hope they are different, too.
Enjoy every day. When will you be back in Nova Scotia? Never?

Thanks for the updates. Look forward to pictures when you can. We have been on many cruises that we wish would last a little longer, this adventure sounds divine! Enjoy:)
